Boxes

Our HHE came last week and I'm proud to say that we are almost completely unpacked.  SHOCKING!!!  How, might you ask, were we able to pull that off so quickly?  Well, my husband is a freaking ROCK STAR and worked feverishly this weekend.  Our garage is completely filled with empty boxes and this is what one corner of the "man-cave" looks like:

Once all the boxes are cleared, it will then be time to purge!  We have so much stuff that we don't need.  I'm grateful we live in a country where we can donate the smallest things and it makes a huge difference to that person.  Our housekeeper took a box of clothes that were too small for our boys and gave it to her sister, who just lost her husband and had no money to buy clothes for her son.  And if our housekeeper doesn't take something, we can donate it to an orphanage or to our guards, or to a friend of a friend, etc.  It is so motivating to get rid of things so those who need it can use it.

  1. I would have to totally agree with feeling great knowing that someone can really use what you don't really need anymore. We have donated clothes, kitchen wares, and even the boxes, the bubblewrap and the paper to be repurposed and reused. Glad you are making it through the unpacking in high spirits. Don't let my hubby know you have a man-cave there. Best we have here is a poor excuse for a man-chair (GSO recliner) that he guards with his life when he is home. Poor guy.
